POSITION
Social Media Manager / Advisor for seven to eight month campaign with goal of getting young adults from under-represented communities in New Bedford certified to work in the offshore wind industry. Approximately 20% in-person, 80% remote. This is an initiative of Bristol Community College's National Offshore Wind Institute and is supported by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.

SALARY
Paid contractor position. $30 per hour. Estimated 15 hours per week. Contracts will be divided into phases: construction, maintenance & operation, reporting.
START DATE
Interviews conducted Feb -- April. Starting immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• identify social media platforms to reach target audience
• set up and maintain some or all: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook
• cultivate audience / followers
• write effective post captions, research effective hashtags
• respond to interactions
• identify and point prospects to project leads
• advise leads on what’s working and what’s not, pivot as needed
• strategize weekly with project leads
• some design required in IG Stories, otherwise all content for feeds will be provided
• purchase sponsored ads as needed
• generate and analyze analytics reports for three phases of reporting
Applicant should be a standout contributor whose perspective will be valued by our team. Brand development, messaging and content will be generated by a design firm and two video marketing partners. Applicant will collaborate in that process by writing effective social media messaging, advising, and integrating with our team as you set up and maintain accounts throughout the life of the campaign.
