BridgeThink team member, Leila Valoura and I, just finished writing our case study ‘Downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts: A Case of Creative Placemaking in the United States’ for the international publication, "Creative Districts Around the World: Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of Bairro Alto."
On the 500 birthday of the Bairro Alto creative district in Portugal, the publishers called for case studies from international locations. New Bedford will represent Massachusetts. The publication is a joint effort of Lusofona University, Lisbon Portugal and The Centre for Leisure and Tourism Research, in Tilburg, The Netherlands and will be released in October of this year.
