Black Spaces Matter is an exciting interactive documentary project about New Bedford, MA's Abolition Row neighborhood and the work that the New Bedford Historical Society is doing to bring attention to the amazing history of Abolition the city has. The project's leads are Pamela Karimi (professor of art history at UMass Dartmouth, lead curator) Lee Blake (President of the New Bedford Historical Society), Michael Swartz (design professor at UMass Dartmouth's CVPA), Jennifer McGrory (architect at Perkins+Will) and me (documentary film and installations). The exhibit will open at the Boston Architectural College's McCormack Gallery in November, 2017.
